Walker Tape New Extreme Hold Adhesive

Walker Tape Co. is very excited to introduce one of their great new products: Extreme Hold. Twenty years ago, they came up with Ultra Hold, an extremely affordable acrylic liquid glue that worked well and saved stylists money.  Today they feel that same breakthrough has happened on the silicone side. After years of research, development, and testing, they nailed it with Extreme Hold.

Extreme Hold will exceed all your silicone adhesive expectations. And, like Ultra Hold, it’s being delivered at a more affordable price than the competition. Their goal was to come out with the best silicone adhesive on the market and save our customers money. They have truly done that with Extreme Hold.

Extreme Hold is medically tested skin safe and will give at least four weeks of hold. However, depending on climate, humidity, and body oils, it can last up to six weeks. It works well on all types of units. Tested against the best silicone competition out there, our new Extreme Hold shined.  It became clear, very quickly, that Extreme Hold is a winner.

Extreme Hold is very easy to work with and is less stringy than many maximum wear adhesives. We also developed a 4oz squeeze bottle, so our most popular size even easier to work with. The precision tip on the squeeze bottle enables you to get just the right amount of adhesive. Now let’s talk about how to apply Extreme Hold to get the best results.

Before application, wash your client’s scalp with Bond Breaker shampoo to clean and gently exfoliate. Next, prepare your client’s scalp with 99% alcohol. Then, apply two thin layers of Extreme Hold using one of our Sponge Brushes. Keep in mind that when it comes to applying liquid adhesives, more is not better. If your layers are too thick, your hold times will be compromised. After you’ve applied the second thin layer, blow dry the Extreme Hold until it’s very tacky to the touch. Then, you’re ready to install the unit. Be sure to press it firmly onto the scalp. Let’s recap:

How to Use Extreme Hold Adhesive

Step 1: Clean your client’s scalp with Bond Breaker Shampoo.

Step 2: Prepare the scalp with 99% alcohol to remove oils and increase hold time.

Step 3: Apply two thin layers of Extreme Hold.

Step 4: Blow dry until tacky to the touch.

Step 5: Place the unit and press it firmly onto the scalp.
